Hawaiʻi County accepting preservation recommendations

The County of Hawai'i Puhlie Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Commission is accepting recommendations from the puhlie on what properties should be purchased for permanent preservation. Commissioners will review the suggestions and consider factors like historic and cultural features, opportunities for outdoor recreation and

education, public access to beaches or mountains, as well as preservation and protection of natural resources. Submissions will be accepted through June 30.
