2017 LEGISLATIVE SESSION OPENING DAY

The Hawai'i State Legislature convened its 2017 session on Jan. 18. Opening Day ceremonies brought together new and returning lawmakers, invited guests and members of the puhlie for a mix of official business, entertainment and speeches by House and Senate leadership. The festivities continued in the Capitol rotunda, with hula performances, ku'i 'ai and hana lei (lei making).
