Digital Literacy Workshop

By Office of Hawaiian Affairs Staff Hawaiian resource databases put a wealth of information at your fingertips - if you know how to access it. On Sept. 16, librarian experts Maile Alau, Keikilani Meyer, RaeAnne Montague and Kuulelani Reyes will lead a free digital literacy workshop to help participants learn how to access and navigate several Hawaiian resource databases. The workshop will include search strategies to retrieve information for personal use, whether to prepare a genealogy or conduct a title search, or to learn more about cultural practices or places of interest. Several databases are currently available, including Huapala, 'Ulu'ulu, Avakonohiki, Hula Preservation Society and Ulukau. The workshop is presented by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Community Outreach Program, E Noelo I Ka 'Ike Project and Hālau
