The Liberal, Volume I, Number 41, 1 February 1893 — IN ACCORD. [ARTICLE]

IN ACCORD.

THE LIBERAL is in full accord with the spirit of the Proclamation which demolished the monarhy and called the Provisional Government into existence. We place our own interpretation, namely, Statehood, upon that part of the Proclamation which refers to "terms of union with the United States." We also take the liberty to criticise some of the details of action by which the P.G. seek to carry out their larger scheme. This course we shall continue to do while the present editor wields the quill, and governmental acts shall appear to us unwise.
