Provisional Government of the Hawaiian Islands ORDER NO. 1 Whereas by Order No. 1 of this Government the right of the Writ of Habes Corpes was suspended and martial law was perclaimed throughout the Islands of Oahu, January 17th, 1833. It is now further ordered that the right of the Writ of Habeas Corpus is hereby restored and that martial law is hereby suspended on said Island of Oahu, from and after 12 o'clock noon of Sunday, the 11th day of February, 1893. An Act to Establish the Office of Vice-President. BE IT ENACTED by the Executive and Advisory Councils of the Provisional Government of the Hawaiian Islands: SECTION 1 - There shall be chosen from the members of the Advisory Council a person who shall be the Vice-President of the Provisional Government of the Hawaiian Islands, who upon the death registration, disability or disqualification of the President, shall have and exercise all the powers and authority of the President, until the election of a President, or the removal of such disability or disqualification. SECTION 2 - In the absence of the President, the Vice-President shell be exofficio Chairman of the Executive and Advisory Councils when sitting as a legislative body.
