ACT 11. AN ACT TO ESTABLISH THE OFFICE OF VICE-PRESIDENT. Be it Exacted by the Executive and Advisory Councils of the Provisional Government of the Hawaiian Islands; SECTION 1 - There shall be chosen from the members of the Advisory Council a person who shall be the Vice-President of the Provisional Government of the Hawaiian Islands, who upon the death, resignation, disability or disqualification of the President, shall have and exercise all the powers and authority of the President, until the election of a President, or the removal of such disability or disqualification. SECTION 2 - In the absence of the President, the Vice-President shall be ex-officio Chairman of the Executive and Advisory Councils when sitting as a legislative body.
